Open Sourced Banking is an independent publication launched in March 2026 by FinRank. We write about what is actually happening inside financial institutions. The shifts shaping the industry. A lot of that will include AI, but not in the vague, recycled way the topic usually gets covered. We care more about what institutions are actually doing, where the friction is, and which ideas hold up under pressure.

We will also write about how lessons from fintechs and other industries translate — or don't — into the realities of a regulated institution. And about vendor relationships: how to evaluate them, what good ones actually look like, and where institutions tend to give up too much leverage too early.
